2. Overview

60+ Friends is a friendly community app to help people 60 and over meet nearby, share interests, and enjoy activities together. We collect only what we need to provide the service, and we protect it carefully.

3. What We Collect

  • Account data: your email address and password (stored securely)
  • Profile data: your first name, age range, country, city and approximate area, interests, what you are looking for, your short introduction and (optionally) a profile photo
  • Activity data: activities you create or join, interests you express, matches, and the messages you send
  • Technical data: basic device and diagnostic information needed to run the service and keep it secure

4. What We Do NOT Collect or Show

We do not store your exact home address or precise real-time location — only your city and an approximate area. We never publicly display your email address, phone number or exact location to other users.

5. Legal Basis for Processing

  • Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract): showing you people and activities nearby and enabling matches and messaging.
  • Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest): keeping the community safe — handling blocks, reports and abuse prevention.
  • Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent): optional push notifications, which you can withdraw at any time in Notification settings.
  • Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR (legal obligation): responding to lawful requests.

6. Data Processors

We use Google Firebase (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) as our technical infrastructure (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Storage), and RevenueCat for managing optional Premium subscriptions. We do not sell your personal data.

7. International Transfers

Where a provider processes data outside the EU/EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

8. Data Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data without undue delay, except where we must keep certain records to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes.

9. Your Rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access your data (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Correct inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Erasure — “right to be forgotten” (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Restrict or object to processing (Art. 18, 21 GDPR)
  • Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Withdraw consent at any time

You can edit your profile, manage notifications and delete your account directly in the app, or contact us at the email above.

10. Right to Lodge a Complaint

You can lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, AEPD, www.aepd.es), or the authority in your EU/EEA country of residence.

11. Children

The app is only for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under this age.

60+ Friends ist eine freundliche Community-App, die Menschen ab 60 dabei hilft, Personen in ihrer Nähe kennenzulernen, Interessen zu teilen und gemeinsam Aktivitäten zu unternehmen. Wir erheben nur, was für den Betrieb notwendig ist, und schützen es sorgfältig.

3. Welche Daten wir erheben

  • Kontodaten: E-Mail-Adresse und Passwort (sicher gespeichert)
  • Profildaten: Vorname, Altersgruppe, Land, Stadt und ungefähres Gebiet, Interessen, was Sie suchen, eine kurze Vorstellung und optional ein Profilfoto
  • Aktivitätsdaten: erstellte oder beigetretene Aktivitäten, geäußertes Interesse, Matches und gesendete Nachrichten
  • Technische Daten: grundlegende Geräte- und Diagnoseinformationen für Betrieb und Sicherheit

4. Was wir NICHT erheben oder anzeigen

Wir speichern nicht Ihre genaue Adresse oder Echtzeit-Position — nur Stadt und ein ungefähres Gebiet. E-Mail-Adresse, Telefonnummer oder genauer Standort werden anderen Nutzern nie öffentlich angezeigt.

5. Rechtsgrundlagen der Verarbeitung

  • Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO (Vertragserfüllung): Anzeige von Personen und Aktivitäten in der Nähe sowie Matches und Nachrichten.
  • Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO (berechtigtes Interesse): Sicherheit der Community — Blockierungen, Meldungen, Missbrauchsprävention.
  • Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a DSGVO (Einwilligung): optionale Push-Benachrichtigungen, jederzeit widerrufbar in den Einstellungen.
  • Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. c DSGVO (rechtliche Verpflichtung): Beantwortung rechtmäßiger Anfragen.

6. Auftragsverarbeiter

8. Speicherdauer

Ihre Daten werden gespeichert, solange Ihr Konto aktiv ist. Bei Löschung des Kontos löschen oder anonymisieren wir Ihre personenbezogenen Daten unverzüglich, sofern keine gesetzliche Aufbewahrungspflicht besteht.

9. Ihre Rechte

Nach der DSGVO haben Sie das Recht auf:

  • Auskunft (Art. 15 DSGVO)
  • Berichtigung (Art. 16 DSGVO)
  • Löschung — „Recht auf Vergessenwerden“ (Art. 17 DSGVO)
